PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • Application portal will open March 25, 2024 and close April 29, 2023 at 3:00 pm US Central Time.
  • Up to 12 recipients will receive $3,000 awards.
  • Open to dependents of worldwide employees at Vontier and Vontier operating companies (OpCos).
  • Awards are based on demonstrated academic performance, leadership, work experience, and financial need.

I plan on pursuing a psychology career, and for that I need to set aside money for graduate school. This scholarship will help take off some of the financial burden of my education.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS & SELECTION CRITERIA

The program will use Scholarship America recipient selection criteria including the consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an outside appraisal.

The academic evaluation for international applicants will include a review of the grade/mark-average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and university and results of academic examinations. This information is evaluated to complete the academic ranking of international applicants.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be dependent* children of worldwide, full-time Vontier or Vontier-owned company employees** in good standing as of the application deadline date.
  • Recipients of Vontier Scholarship Program awards may not be recipients of other scholarships funded by Vontier Corporation or one of its OpCos.
  • Applicants must be high school seniors/students in their final year of upper secondary school, high school/upper secondary school graduates, current vocational-technical or CEGEP students, or current university, undergraduate students.
  • Applicants must plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational-technical institution, or CEGEP (or equivalent) for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.
  • Recipients must demonstrate financial need.

This scholarship has truly alleviated much of this stress and has no doubt contributed to my success as a student this past year, and will continue to mean a lot to me for the coming years that I will receive it.

AWARD DETAILS

Awards will be issued in U.S. currency via check payable to the school for the student’s account or electronic transfer to schools that participate in the electronic transfer process. Awards to students outside the U.S. and Canada will be disbursed via wire transfer to the student’s bank account.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Provided qualified applications are received, preference will be given to first-generation college students.

* Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

** Eligible OpCos include ANGI, DRB, EVolve, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Invenco by GVR, Matco Tools, Teletrac Navman, Vontier Corporate.
